Get voice coaching

It’s a no-brainer!

If you want a career in journalism you have to develop your voice.

There’s heaps of good voice coaches around, so I’m not even saying come to me. I’m just saying do it!

Yeh, it sucks that uni’s don’t teach it and news bosses don’t usually pay for it, but that doesn’t change the fact that if you don’t have a good voice you won’t go very far in this industry.

Don’t just wing-it and hope for the best. Get in on the secrets I’ve shared with dozens of broadcast journalists and get that job, advance your career and sound like you’re telling the story, not just reading the script.
