Catch speaking curveballs with confidence

No speaking engagement will ever go exactly as you expect.

I just did 4 gigs in 4 days, and let me tell you - the curveballs came flying. 

But here's what I've learned: every curveball either means nothing, or ADDS to your presentation.

Here’s what happened:

1/ Broken audience expectation: Expected 100 students for a presentation, had just 12. 

2/ Wardrobe malfunction: My heavy gold necklace came undone and fell off mid-story.

3/ Tech issues: My slide deck was meant to go blank during a serious story. The tech team may have thought it was a glitch and started playing with the computer, which was mirrored on the screen. 

4/ Missed cue: Forgot to bring in my bright pink retro phone prop at the right moment.

5/ Chaotic environment: Spoke outdoors with noise, distractions, no stage, nowhere for notes and no position where the entire audience could see you.
