Our bathroom renovation is finally finished and we are back in our apartment.
It is so nice.
We had a few issues in construction..
Like the vanity arriving broken, then incomplete, the chipped then scratched …
We were worried the shower doors going to the roof wouldn’t be good for ventilation, but actually it’s like having a shower and a sauna in one, quite luxurious.

On today’s episode of That Voice Podcast I want to give you the 5 steps to speak with style.

“Try again. It’s left, right, left and slide.”
The choreographer’s patience was wearing thin.
“Okay, left, right, left and …” I took a sheepish pause. “What was it again?”
I’d been kept back after rehearsals for a private session with one of the lead dancers. The school musical was Little Shop of Horrors, and I was out of my high-achieving comfort zone. I loved performing on stage. Acting? Bring it on. Singing? Passable. Dancing? Well, this is why I was held back. My brain-to-feet-to-arm coordination was not happening. I struggled to mirror the moves; the teachers went too fast for me, and I stuck out like a sore thumb, not a star performer. So, there I was. Dance Detention. Having my arms and legs manipulated like an old puppet. They had to break it down step by step. And that’s exactly how we’re going to approach showtime for your voiceprint.”

Ok this step by step is what I’ll outline for you today.
Have you ever been captivated by a great speaker and wondered, How do they do it? Some will tell you they’re just going with the flow, completely off-the-cuff.
After one presentation, someone asked me how long I’d spent preparing. I smiled and said, “About forty years.” It’s easy to look like you’re winging it when you’ve been preparing your whole life.
Now, I’m about to burst the bluff and reveal the real reason great speakers seem so effortless. It’s not magic – it’s mechanics.
There are simple techniques anyone can learn. And let’s face it: a formula is far more reliable than a fluke.
Introducing the V.O.I.C.E Formula.
Step One – VIBRATIONS.
The air your breathe out vibrates your vocal cords and that sets up vibrations in your body. Your head, your heart, your solar plexus area, and if you want to speak with style, you need to learn how to control these vibrations and amplify them. You want a resonant voice, it the vibrations we’re talking about.
So if your voice is thin like this just working in your mouth space, you want to bring it down the channel and vibrate throughout.
Now as your hearing these steps and you want to learn HOW, come and join my group program Soul Speakers, this is where you can implement these steps I’m going through and learn HOW to maximise it so you have more influence when you speak.
So step one vibrations
Step two O for Openness.
Your voice is a channel and it needs to be open for the oxygen and energy to flow.
Open jaw, open heart, open palms.
Unravel yourself from that fetal position of fear and speak openly.
Step three is I for intonation. One of my favourite chapters in Voiceprint.
Intonation is the rise and fall of your voice. And if you know how to do it well, you will captivate people.
When to go up, when to go out. This is the musicality of your voice.
So if you go up, at the end of every sentence or you speak really flat and monotone, get your sexy voice into Soul Speakers and I’ll teach you how you can get the intonation advantage, and you become like the conductor of the audience’s emotions.
Step four is C for clarity. And we covered this in a recent podcast episode about articulating your message.
You need to get your speech organs to the gym.
Warm up your jaw
And lips
And tongue
And soft palate
And let’s go for a tongue twister.
If you don’t have clarity of speech, your credibility is shot to bits.
So if you want to be taken seriously and be listened to, not interrupted, chosen for opportunities all that, you want to follow these steps.
And the cherry on top is step five E for expression.
Can you change your pitch, your pace, your volume.
Are you aligning your voice with the meaning of the words you’re saying.
This is how you engage and wow your audience.
