271. Pull a card, free your voice
This is my first episode since VOICEPRINT launched, and I’m blown away by your response!
Thank you for the photos, the heartfelt messages, and the early reviews — like “so accessible,” “I laughed out loud,” and “I can actually hear the book in her voice.”
Alongside the book, I created The Voiceprint Codes, a 44-card oracle deck to help you deepen the work, build daily rituals, and integrate the concepts in a more intuitive, frequent way.
And yes—I stand by it: the cards never lie.
In this episode, I share -
- how to use the cards,
- why they’re so powerful for coaches, facilitators and personal reflection,
- and I pull two cards meant for you.

Oh my gosh, I am blown away by the response to my book VOICEPRINT. This is the first episode I’ve recorded since release.
Seeing all the photos of the book arriving in your hands, the congratulations and the early reviews which are so honest.
Like a couple of my favourite lines –
“it’s great Sal, very accessible and love the personal stories.”
“I expected to learn about becoming a better speaker, but I didn’t expect to laugh out loud while doing it.”
“I started listening to Sally’s podcast recently, so I could actually hear the book in her voice.”
And if you’re here listening to this podcast, I hope you can hear my voice when you read the book.
And if you get the audiobook, you literally will be able to hear it in my voice.
Spotify is out now and goodness knows when it will drop on Audible. I submitted it weeks ago, and it’s guarded by mystery where it’s up to, so we’ll stay tuned on that one.
Now along with the book I created a 44-card oracle deck called The Voiceprint Codes.
Australia and New Zealand you can buy at book stores. International you have to order direct from me and I’ll post it out. I’ll put the link in the show notes, or just reach out for it.
So what is the point of oracle cards?
How do you use them?
And what impact do they have?
I am a big card deck user – it would be weird if I made cards but never used them, and I find them SO valuable for workshop facilitation, personal reflection, daily ritual and a way to integrate the content beyond the book.
Now already people are telling me they have post it notes in the book for future reference, and that is great. Especially with the warm-ups and checklists and things like that. The cards go beyond reference.
I have a saying which I stand by – the cards never lie. I believe the card you pull is coded with a message you need to hear. Even if your conscious mind doesn’t receive it immediately. It means you can go deeper with the content, it means you can engage with it more frequently.
And if you want to change your frequency, start with a practice you can do frequently.
The voiceprint codes oracle deck looks beautiful, feels luxurious. I went for a strong card and a gold lining. And recently I was reading about neuro-aesthetics where what you see physically alters your brain chemistry. So, engaging with something like a beautiful oracle card deck is such a healthy habit to get into. This was also the reason I opted from cream pages instead of white in the book. Because white seems like a text book and cream is more like a story book. Interesting hey. The psychology of paper colour.
So, the Voiceprint Codes are meant to go with the book. There are 3 sections like the 3 parts of the book.
The most common question I’ve got so far. Is how do you use them? And with oracle cards there is no right or wrong.
Up front if you are a coach or facilitator these cards are a great way to open up discussion and get free-flowing honest conversation which is essential for any learning or breakthroughs to take place. So, if you are any sort of coach or run any sort of team trainings or workshops, I’d highly recommend adding these to your workshop go-bag. And people like to touch things. This is why I use cards and my lip-shaped stress balls. Because sitting and listening and looking at a slide deck is really challenging for kinaesthetic learners – who learn through touch. And I use a range of card decks in my sessions and the way people’s eyes light up when you ask them to choose a card is clear. It’s such a surprise and delight moment.
For one-on-one coaching. It’s a great way to open a session, or move things along if you feel you’re going in circles or hitting a bit of a wall.
Ok if you’re not a coach or facilitator I direct you to page 3 of the little booklet you get with the cards and I share 5 ways I like to use the cards.
Let’s pull a card now. I settling into the energy of this recording, I’m feeling into what you need right now as a listener of this episode. I have the cards scattered on my desk and I’m choosing one now.
