Hate the sound of your voice? This is for you!
Here's what I've learned after years of coaching people on using their voice… The biggest barrier to sharing your story isn't finding the right words or the perfect platform. It's your relationship with your own voice.
Remember these three things:
1/ Voice Confrontation is killing your story before it starts
When you hate the sound of your voice, you'll avoid recording that video, skip the podcast interview, or stay silent in the meeting where your perspective matters most. Your story - the one that could change everything for someone - stays locked inside.
2/ Your voice doesn't need fixing. It needs friendship.
Think about it: If you physically cringed every time you saw a friend, they'd probably ghost you. Your voice works the same way. Show it compassion, and it becomes your greatest ally in sharing what matters.
3/ The stories that need to be told require YOUR voice.
Not Morgan Freeman's. Not that smooth podcast host you admire. Yours. Because your story lived in your body, was shaped by your experiences, and carries your unique perspective. It needs your voice to land with authentic power.
